About the Cyclone 150 TD

Is it legal to tow behind a normal car?

Yes. Gross weight is 748 kg, which keeps it under the 750 kg braked-trailer limit. Anyone with a standard UK category B licence can tow it, provided your vehicle's towing capacity and nose weight allow it — check your V5C and tow bar plate.

What size timber will it actually take?

150 mm (6 inches) of clean round timber. Forked or very green material effectively reduces that, so treat 150 mm as the maximum for straight limb rather than a guarantee for every branch.

Do I need an operator qualification?

There is no legal licence to own or run one. For commercial work, HSE expects operators to be trained and competent — City & Guilds NPTC 0020 is the recognised UK unit. We supply the manual and risk-assessment template; we do not provide certification.

How is it delivered?

Crated on a pallet, on a tail-lift vehicle to UK mainland addresses. The carrier calls to book a slot. You will need firm level ground to roll it off — it arrives on its own wheels.

What does the warranty actually cover?

Two years on parts we supply, one year on the engine through the manufacturer's UK network. Wear items — blades, belts, filters, anvil — are excluded, as is damage from feeding stone, wire or metal into the funnel.
